Ghanaian winger Francis Amuzu set to stay at Anderlecht despite agreeing personal terms with Nice

Ghanaian winger Francis Amuzu is expected to stay at Anderlecht this summer despite his proposed move to French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice.

The 22-year-old had agreed personal terms with Nice and was set to undergo his medicals but coach Lucien Favre is no longer expecting the Anderlecht player to arrive, according to the French newspaper.

He has been linked with a move away from RSC Anderlecht following his impressive performance last season.

Several club expressed interest in acquiring his services including Scottish champions Celtic.

Last season, the Ghanaian-born Belgian winger made 37 appearances in the Belgian top flight. He scored nine goals and assisted three.

Amuzu signed his first professional contract on 23 August 2015 with Anderlecht for three years.

He made his professional debut for Anderlecht in a 1-0 Belgian First Division A win over K.A.S. Eupen on 22nd December 2017, scoring his side's game-winning goal.
