Ghana international Lawrence Ati Zigi is set to complete a move to Swiss giants St Gallen in the on-going January transfer window.

Ati Zigi has already touched down in Switzerland ahead of the proposed move after ending his two-year stay with French-side Sochaux.

The 23-year-old will undergo a medical on Friday morning after successful negotiations with the Swiss top-flight club.

On Thursday, he parted ways with French second-tier side after reaching an agreement to leave on following days of negotiations over his future.

He has been the first-choice goalkeeper for Sochaux over the past few months following the injury Maxence Prevot who has been on the sidelines for some months.

The highly-rated youngster guided the club to finish 9th on the league table with some mouthwatering displays.

Following his impressive performances for the club, he was linked with a move to several clubs across Europe, however he has opted to sign for Swiss giants St Gallen in the coming days.

Sochaux have already signed experienced goalie Mehdi Jeannin as his replacement as they begin life after the Ghanaian.

He made 23 appearances for Sochaux since joining them in 2017.
