Ghana's Benson Anang parts ways with Slovakian club MŠK Žilina

Ghanaian defender Benson Anang has bid farewell to his Slovakian club, MŠK Žilina. 

The solid defender has spent five years with the Yellow and Green lads.

Anang, who has been with Zilina since July of 2018, was not given a new contract as his term expired this week.

The 23-year-old, joined Zilina five years ago when he was 18 years old. Since then, he has made 134 appearances for the team, scoring five goals and assisting thirteen.

He made six appearances and scored one goal in the Superliga this season.

Benson Anang has attracted interest from Slovan Bratislava according to reports.

Anang made his Fortuna Liga debut for Žilina against Nitra on 28 July 2018. Anang completed 90 minutes of the match, playing as a right back. Žilina won the game 2–1.

Anang made his professional debut with the Ghana national team in a friendly 5–0 win over Qatar on 12 October 2020. The former New Life Academy youth player completed the entirety of the match.
