Ghana's Danny Amankwaa leaves Hobro IK

Hobro IK, a Danish second-tier club, has announced the departure of Ghanaian winger Danny Amankwaa after a successful three-year tenure with the team.

Amankwaa, 29, joined Hobro as a free agent in 2020 and has since made a significant impact, featuring in 71 matches. During his time with the club, he scored one goal and provided five assists, showcasing his valuable contributions to the club.

As his current contract is set to expire this month, Amankwaa will officially leave Hobro on June 30.

The club expressed their gratitude towards him and other departing players in a statement on Instagram last week.

The statement read, "On Friday, DS Arena bid farewell to Don Deedson, Mathias Nygaard, Danny Amankwaa, Ronnie Schwartz, and Okan Atas. Thank you for your efforts in the yellow jersey."

Prior to his time with Hobro, the talented forward had also played for renowned clubs such as FC Copenhagen and Heart of Midlothian, displaying his versatility and experience in different leagues.
