It was all exultation for Ghanaian midfielder Edmund Addo, as his club FC Sheriff, put together a perfect plan execution to secure a goalless draw against Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia to qualify to the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

FC Sheriff had established one foot in the Champions League group stage when they defeated Dinamo Zagreb 3-0 in the first leg of the tie in Moldova.

Edmund Addo and his teammates put on a legendary defensive display as Sheriff allowed Dinamo Zagreb to control 74% of possession without conceding a goal.

This is the first time both Addo and the club will have a taste of the Championship league. The 21-year-old has become a mainstay for the Moldova club after making the move from Slovakia club Senica in June.

Addo has played in all six champions league qualification matches. Sheriff will be in pot 4 with notable clubs such as AC Milan, Wolfsburg, and Besiktas.
