Ghana's Enoch Andoh emerges as latest winger on an unlikely club radar

Ghanaian winger Enoch Andoh, who was once reportedly emerged on the radar of English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur has popped up in the most unlikely of places after making his debut for Hednesford Town on Saturday.

The 26-year-old came through the youth ranks at FC Porto and also featured in Cyprus for AEL Limassol, before joining English side Port Vale in 2014.

He suffered an horrific injury and has battled to catch the eye since, but last season he joined Macclesfield Town, where failed to make an appearance under manager Sol Campbell.

He had just one training session with non-league Hednesford Town before being signed and made his debut in the 3-2 victory over Barwell in the second qualifying round of the English FA Cup.

“I’m happy to have signed for Hednesford Town,” he said.

“Everyone at the club from the staff to the players have really made me feel welcome from day one, and it was great to make my debut on Saturday in the FA Cup.

“The ambition of the club and the squad of players will stand us in good stead for promotion this season.”

Hednesford coach Gary Hayward is confident Andoh will add greatly to his squad, and perhaps begin to get his once hugely promising career back on track.

“Enoch is a winger with bags of pace, I’m always grafting away looking for players who can bring something different to the squad and he fits that category,” he said.
