Ghana's Godson Kyeremeh grabs assist in Caen’s defeat to Rodez

French-born Ghanaian attacker Godson Kyeremeh grabbed an assist in Caen's 5-3 defeat to Rodez in the French Ligue 2 on Saturday afternoon.

The head-to-head record for the teams before the game was Rodez four wins, Caen three wins, and no draws.

Kyeremeh started the game at the Stade Paul Lignon and lasted 70 minutes. Emmanuel Ntim played full throttle for Caen.

The away side enjoyed a lot of possession while the home side had more shots on goal.

The home side scored first in the encounter. Lorenzo Rajot made a classy move and deceived Anthony Mandréa at point blank range to make it 1-0 in the 4th minute.

In the 13th minute, the Ruthenois doubled the lead. Killian Corredor served Arconte in the box who deceived Anthony Mandréa with the left foot to make it 2-0.

Success finally arrived in the 42nd minute for the Red and Blue. This time Caen's captain's header ended up in the back of the net.

Alexandre Mendy made it 2-2 in added time. He placed an unstoppable header after a cross from Valentin Henry from the right.

It was 3-2 in the 45+4 minute, Mickaël Le Bihan gave Stade Malherbe the advantage with a superb assist from Godson Kyeremeh behind.

Two goals from Tairyk Arconte and Wilitty Younoussa gave Rodez the victory.

Caen will play Auxerre in their next league game.
