Ghana international, Kwadwo Asamoah made his first starting appearance for Cagliari Calcio on Wednesday when they defeated Udinese 1-0 in the Italian Serie A.

The former Juventus star joined the club in the January transfer window to provide a squad boost and help the club survive relegation at the end of the 2020/2021 football season.

Yesterday, Kwadwo Asamoah was named in the Cagliari first eleven for the first time when the team visited the Dacia Arena to battle for the available three points against Udinese.

In a game where the Ghana midfielder operated from the flanks, he excelled with his combination of defending and attacking play as he lasted the entire duration of the contest.

On the matchday, a penalty kick converted by João Pedro in the 55th minute steered Cagliari to an important victory.

After today, Kwadwo Asamoah can now look forward to playing big roles for the club in the remainder of the season.
