Ghana’s Kwasi Okyere Wriedt scores to seal 2-0 victory for Willem II against FC Emmen

Striker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt was on target for Willem II Tilburg on Sunday afternoon when the team defeated FC Emmen 2-0 in the Dutch Eredivisie.

The Ghana international today was called into action when his team locked horns with the matchday 20 opponent of the ongoing season at the Koning Willem II Stadion.

Following a good start to the match, the home team finally had the breakthrough in the 38th minute when Che Nunnely scored with an assist from Mats Koehler.

With that equalizer separating the two teams at the end of the first half, FC Emmen hoped to get back into the match in the second half.

Unfortunately, the second equalizer from Kwasi Okyere Wriedt in the 47th minute meant that Willem II Tilburg cruised to a 2-0 win at the end of the 90 minutes.

On the matchday, the Ghana striker played 58 minutes before he was replaced by Lindon Selahi.

With today’s goal, Kwasi Okyere Wriedt now has five goals after making 10 appearances for Willem II in the Dutch Eredivisie.
