Ghana's Prince Ampem scores for HNK Rijeka against Istra 1961

Ghanaian international, Prince Ampem scored HNK Rijeka's 2-2 draw with Istra in the Croatian HNL.

The talented midfielder was deployed in the attack of his team when the side played as a host to the matchday 33 opponent on Saturday evening.

In a close contest in the early stages of the first half, both sides couldn't find the back of the net until the 31st minute. Advan Kadušić fired Istra into the lead.

Istra had to play with 10 men for the rest of the game after Einar Galilea was sent off.

After the break, the home side made some changes to try and get back into the game.

The visitors made it 2-0 through Monsef Bakrar in the 50th minute assisted by Advan Kadušić. Matija Frigan pulled one back for the host in the 73rd minute.

Positioning himself well in the box of Istra, Prince Ampem scored with a fine effort to save HNK Rijeka from defeat in injury time.

Prince Ampem has made 32 appearances, scored five goals, and assisted five for Rijeka this season.
