German-born midfielder of Ghanaian descent, Gideon Jung is set for an exit from Hamburg SV after falling down the pecking order in the first half of the German Bundesliga 2 season.
The defensive midfielder played a key role for the team last season and was expected to be hugely involved this season to help the club push for promotion to the German top-flight league.
Unfortunately, Gideon Jung has been limited to playing time this season as a result of injury setbacks he has suffered.
In the last four matches of Hamburg, he has not been given the chance to feature and continuously looks like he has become surplus to requirement in the team.
Ahead of the opening of the January transfer window, sources are reporting that Hamburg SV could open the door for the midfielder to leave should he want to take that decision.
The 26-year old has the quality and at his age is being advised to move on to sign for a club in the winter window where he will have the chance to play regularly.
