Good coach will solve some Black Stars management issues - Mahama Ayariga

Former Minister for Youth and Sports, Mahama Ayariga, believes the Ghana Football Association appointing a good coach as the Black Stars manager will solve some management issues.

The Bawku Central Member of Parliament is of the view that a good coach will stand his grounds whenever management committee members of the Black Stars attempt to impose a player on him.

These reports of officials interfering in player selection has been in the discussions for a very long time now.

Speaking to GhanaWeb in Parliament, Ayariga said, “When you get a good coach that good coach can deal with some of the management issues. What are the management issues?

“All these allegations that management is interfering in the choice of footballers to play, people are lobbying and directing the coach and etcetera.”

The Black Stars are without a coach again after the sacking of head coach Chris Hughton following Ghana’s poor showing at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
