Accra Great Olympics defender, Amos Acheampong is elated that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has decided to support clubs with football boots.

Last week, the Ghana FA confirmed that clubs in the various leagues will receive boots to be shared with players for the upcoming 2022/23 football season.

Reacting to the announcement in an interview with Original FM today, Amos Acheampong stressed that it is a good initiative from the football governing body.

According to him, this will help players who suffer to purchase football boots.

“There has been improvement in our Ghana premier league. It's a good decision for the GFA to purchase boots for all the players in the Ghana premier league because it's not easy for some of the players to purchase their own boots,” the Great Olympics defender said.

Amos Acheampong was part of the Black Galaxies squad that cruised past Nigeria to qualify for the 2023 CHAN tournament.

He fought for the Ghana team and converted the final penalty to secure qualification for the Black Galaxies.
