Ghana Premier League: Hearts of Oak second round better than first – Opare Addo

Published on: 06 May 2024

The Communication Director of Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo, believes the club’s form in the second round of the Ghana Premier League is better than their first round form.

The Phobians have endured a terrible run of form throughout the season, languishing in the bottom half of the table for large parts of the season.

Hearts of Oak are currently 13th on the league table with 35 points, just three points away from the relegation zone.

Speaking on their recent five defeats in six games, Opare Addo believes Aboubakar Ouattara has improved the performances of the team since taking over the team.

“The second round has not gone pretty well for us, but if you sit back and you look at where we're coming from, from the pre-season and the first round, what we went through, you'll see that the second round has been a bit better than the first round,” he told StarTimes.

Hearts of Oak will next take on Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday.
