Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan managed to get on the scoresheet to earn a draw for his NorthEast United side in a crucial match against Mumbai FC this afternoon after shaking off an injury during the recent International break.

The former Sunderland man has been in his usual elements since completing his transfer to the Indian Super League side on a free transfer in the summer window after partying ways with Kayserispor.

Handed another starting role at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in a match week 5 fixture of the ISL, Asamoah Gyan showed his class once again and found the back of the net to restore parity for NorthEast United who was trailing 2-1.

Panagiotis Triadis opened the scoring for the hosts on the 9th minute before a brace from Amine Chermiti on the 22nd and 33rd minutes turned the tide in favour of Mumbai FC.

The equalizer from Gyan, however, ensured both sides shared the spoils at the end of the 90 minutes.

The Black Stars legend has now taken his tally of league goals to four as he looks on course to get more.
