Black Meteors defender Zakaria Fuseini has attributed his side’s performance against Mali in the ongoing U23 AFCON tournament to hard work and determination.
Kwabena Owusu was introduced to the action in the 2nd half to score two goals to helped the Black Meteors to defeat their Malian counterparts by 2-0 to secure a semi-final place on Thursday night.
Zakaria expressed his happiness with the results and attributed it to hard work and determination.
“We won the game due to hard work, determination and prayers. I’m so happy we won our game. Now we have to shift our focus on our next game,” he said.
Ghana qualified alongside Egypt from Group A and will now face the winner of Group B in the semis.
