Ex-West Ham, Portsmouth and Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has revealed to talkSPORT that he would be interested in taking the vacant Swansea job following the dismissal of Bob Bradley this week, although no contact has been made.
And a rumour from the Daily Telegraph that has emerged since he spoke on the radio station has it he would ambitiously ask John Terry and Frank Lampard to join his playing squad there.
"It sounds interesting - it sounds a challenge," Redknapp, who hasn't worked in the Premier Leaguesince suddenly resigning from his post at QPR almost two years ago, commented.
"It's a great club - where they've come from and what they've done, and the atmosphere there is absolutely fantastic. It's a tough job for someone but it's not an impossible one - I still think they've got a chance of staying up.
He added, "I've not heard anything, I've had no approach from anybody, but it's a good club and if the opportunity and the challenge came up it would be one that would be interesting."
Redknapp would apparently target Terry, whose Chelsea career is winding down. The captain is no longer part of Antonio Conte's plans after an injury stricken first half of the season and is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer anyway.
Redknapp would hope he could tempt him to have six months in Swansea instead, although Terry's apparent reluctance to play for any other club, let alone one in the Premier League, may prove difficult to bypass.
Lampard is currently without a club after leaving New York City at the end of the 2016 MLS season. He has worked with his 'uncle Harry' before starting out at West Ham and actually briefly spent some time at Swansea on loan at the very start of his career.
