Nations FC coach Kasim Ocansey Mingle has acknowledged Heart of Lions qualities ahead of their clash in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The two bottom sides on the league standings will face off at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex this Sunday. Coach Kasim Mingles side are 17th on the table whiles Fatawu Salifu’s side sit 18th position.

Speaking ahead of the game, Mingle admitted Lions are not a bad side, citing their hard-fought draw against Bibiani Goldstars as an example.

“Heart of Lions is not a bad side at all. In their last game, they went to Bibiani to secure a point against Goldstars. From two goals down, they were able to come back to draw the game. You know Goldstars is a very strong side and for Lions to come from behind to draw tells you they are not a bad side” he said.

Despite acknowledging Lions qualities, the former Bechem United coach expect his side to secure maximum points.

“We are preparing just like we do in our other league matches to play them. So, we are on it preparing for Heart of Lions. Definitely, everybody is strong at his home. So, once we are playing at home, they are expecting a win from us so we are also working towards that."

“It’s football and is a game of uncertainty so you cannot predict scoreline. We are going to play and God willing we are going to win but we can’t predict the scoreline”

Nations FC will be chasing their third win of the campaign after losing 5 and drawing 2 of their games so far. They will aim to lift themselves out of the relegation zone after matchday 10.
