Hearts of Oak defender, Robert Addo Sowah has expressed optimism in the chances of the team to win a silverware in the upcoming 2020/2021 football season.

The club won its last major title in 2009 and has since gone on a decade-long trophy drought which continues to attract ridicule from rival clubs.

Speaking in an interview, defender Robert Addo Sowah says it is about time the Phobian players ended that difficult spell.

“It’s time we as players won something of great magnitude for the club especially on the local scene and, we are determined to do just that in the coming season.

“Our performance in the last couple of seasons have truly deserved silverware and, it is unfortunate that we don’t have that to show on the table”, he said.

Robert Addo continued, “I am confident that we will rise up to the challenge when the new season starts and, looking at the quality at our disposal, this can only be the norm”.

Hearts of Oak started the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season poorly but managed to step up midway through the campaign. They have now reinforced the team with the hope of properly challenging for titles next season.
