Hearts manager Kim Grant insists he is hurt by his team’s defeat to Berekum Chelsea

Accra Hearts of Oak first-team coach Kim Grant has noted that he is hurt by his team’s 1-0 defeat to Berekum Chelsea in the opening weekend of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

The Phobians went up against the side from Berekum on Sunday afternoon to start off their respective campaigns in the new top-flight league.

At the end of the match at the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak lost by a goal to nil to Chelsea courtesy a strike from Jonah Attuquaye in the first half of the match.

Speaking at his post-match press conference at the end of the match, Coach Kim Grant bemoaned the result and has observed that his team will prepare well for the next game against Medeama SC on Match Week 2.

“We have got 36 games, its 35 games now, and it is a long way to go. Am hurting because of the defeat and also hurting because it is our first home game for the supporters. But I believe that the players gave everything”, the coach said.

Kim Grant continued, “We have lost today. What we are going to do is to try and prepare for the next game which is important”.

“Next week we are going to go there and try and win the game because we need to win”, he concluded.
