Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak Alhaji Akanbi has entreated the club to hold on with their celebrations despite edging closer to the Ghana Premier League title.

His comment comes after the side victory over sworn-rivals Asante Kotoko last Sunday.

The Phobians defeated the Porcupine Warriors 1-0 in matchday 31 of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium and are now close to annexing the trophy for the first time in a decade.

Despite sitting at the top of the table with 59 points with three games to end the season, Alhaji Akanbi has implored the club to hold on with their celebrations since the season is not over.

"The three points was the most important thing and we the Phobians picked it" he told Kumasi FM.

"We still have 3 more games to go, I will implore all Phobians to hold on with their celebrations until we are done with the three remaining three games"

"Hearts of Oak is playing better football at the moment, I have not said we have won the league but let us all be patient and wait for the remaining three games and we all see who wins the title at the end of the day” he concluded.
