Hearts of Oak midfielder Glid Otanga expresses joy after win over Heart of Lions

Hearts of Oak midfielder Glid Jeordon Otanga Mvouo has expressed his joy following his outfit victory over Heart of Lion in the Ghana Premier League.

The Congolese international featured the Phobians came from behind to snatch a 2-1 win over Lions in the week 22 fixture on Monday to extended their undefeated streak to eight games.

Youngster Mustapha Yakubu scored a free-kick to give Bashir Hayford's side the lead. His shot from the edge of the box beat goalkeeper Richard Attah.

Hearts responded swiftly after the interval after midfielder Salim Adams headed home a free-kick delivered by Martin Karikari in the 49th minute.

“We are happy for this victory. They scored us in the first half but we came in as warriors win the game. we didn’t have a good first half but our coach encouraged us to give our all in the second half to win and it happened” he said.

The Phobians are now a force to reckon in the ongoing campaign after shaking off their sloppy start to the league season.

Ouattara, who joined the Phobians before the start of the second round has made an instant impact at the club, winning three and drawing two after five games so far.

The Ghanaian giants has amassed 11 points from a possible 15 after five games in the second half of the domestic top-flight.

Hearts of Oak have now surpassed rivals Asante Kotoko on Ghana Premier League table. They are now 7th on the standings but tied on points with Kotoko.
