Hearts of Oak midfielder Ibrahim Salifu hopeful of winning GPL title

Hearts of Oak new signing, Ibrahim Salifu, is hopeful his side will win the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title at the end of the season.

Salifu joined the Phobians in the on-going transfer window from fellow Premiership outfit Eleven Wonders.

He made his debut for Hearts in their 4-0 win over WAFA on match day 17 at the Accra Sports stadium.

The victory gave the Phobians their third win in four games since the departure of Kosta Papic.

Speaking after the game, Salifu said with the team’s performance he hopes that Phobia will clinch what will be their 20th league title.

"I am very happy to have played my first game," he said.

"As we have started, I believe we will win the league by the end of the season. Therefore they should keep supporting us."

Hearts of Oak are currently 3rd on the league table with 27 points after 17 matches played - four points adrift leaders, Karela United.
