Hearts of Oak on the verge of signing Cameroonian forward Junior Kaaba - Reports

Ghana Premier League powerhouse, Hearts of Oak are on the verge of signing Cameroonian forward Junior Kaaba, the player’s agent, Tigana Fontem has confirmed.

The Phobians have been poor in the ongoing season despite winning the domestic treble last season.

However, with a game left to end the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League campaign, the Rainbow club are already planning for next season.

According to Tigana, Samuel Boadu's side have begun talks and reached an advanced stage of negotiations to sign Kaaba from Cameroonian side Fauve Azur Elite.

Kaaba, 27, has been sensational for his club firing them to the Cameroonian Elite One Group A fourth place.

The forward has netted nearly half with 7 goals of Fauve Azur Elite’s total 20 league goals so far.

Fauve Azur Elite are 10 points below leaders Astres of Duoala who have 29 points after 12 games.

Kaaba’s capabilities have also earned him 5 assists- with the two aspects of stats justifiable enough to catch Hearts of Oak’s attention.

However, they may need the extra edge in the continental showpiece as they are likely to book a place in the Caf Confederation Cup should they annex the FA Cup trophy.

Kaaba will become the third Cameroonian to play in the Ghana topflight with Franck Mbella Etouga and Georges Mfegue already playing for Asante Kotoko.
