Hearts of Oak is on the verge of losing key defender Caleb Amankwah at the end of the season.

Amankwah, who joined the Phobians from Aduana Stars in 2021 will see his current contract elapse in the coming days.

According to reports, there has not been talks for contract extension, hence the possibility for Caleb Amankwah’s departure this summer.

The 25-year-old is said to be seeking for a new challenge after almost a three-year stint in the capital.

Since joining the club, he has established himself as a key cog to the Hearts of Oak team, winning several titles with the team.

He played a huge role when the Phobians ended their trophy drought in the 2020/21 season, winning both the league and the FA Cup. Last season, he helped the4 club to clinch the FA Cup.

The former WAFA defender has been Hearts of Oak’s best player this season despite the club’s unimpressive performance.

He could play his last game for the rainbow boys this weekend in their game against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.
