Hearts of Oak sever ties with defender Robert Addo Sowah

Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have parted ways with defender Robert Addo Sowah ahead of the new season.

The 29-year-old leaves the club on mutual grounds after seven-year spell following the expiration of his contract.

Addo Sowah joined the Phobians in 2016 and established himself as a key cog to the club, helping the Ghanaian giants to end their trophy drought during the 2020/21 season.

“A great time spent together as a committed player, a reliable defender and a patient person. Thank you for your service” the club tweeted.

The defender spent last season on loan at Samartex, helping the club to escape relegation at the end of the 2022/23 season.

He is expected to find himself a new club before the start of the 2023/24 football season.

The enterprising defender has a total of 81 appearances in the Ghana Premier League.
