Hearts of Oak support autonomous Ghana Premier League 250% - Alhaji Akambi

Hearts of Oak Board Member, Alhaji Akambi, expressed the club's support for the autonomous Ghana Premier League set to be implemented soon.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is currently working on implementing this new league format, with plans to launch it as early as the 2024-2025 season.

During an interview with Citi Sports, Hearts of Oak board member Alhaji Akambi emphasized the importance of keeping up with the developments in European football and learning from their strategies.

“We are learning what is happening in Europe and if we are learning we have to learn and catch up with them quickly so I will support the autonomous league 250 percent.

“I thought this coming season, we were going to start but there was a little delay and we were not able to. But 2024/2025 is not bad before then I’m sure we will be well prepared then it will take off,”Alhaji Akambi said.

The Club is currently signing players ahead of the new season.
