Hearts of Oak supporters chairman Elvis Hesse Herman has expressed his excitement to see Sulley Muntari play for the club.

The 35-year-old has been linked with a move to the Phobians ahead of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League resumption.

Rumours were rife on Friday that the 35-year-old had joined the Phobians ahead of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League resumption.

But the club has denied that they have signed former Black Stars midfielder.

According to Herman, he would be happy if Muntari joins the team.

"I will be very glad to see Sulley Ali Muntari playing Hearts of Oak if even it's just for a season," he told FOX FM.

"It's not official though, but I have heard snippets of information to the effect that Sulley relish donning the rainbow colours. Moreover, he has special affinity for us."

Muntari has been without a club after ending his stay with Spanish lower tier side Albacete.

He has enjoyed huge success in his career in Europe, where he featured for the likes of AC Milan and Inter Milan - winning several trophies in Europe including the UEFA Champions League with the latter.

He was also a member of the Portsmouth team that won the FA Cup in 2008.
