Ellie Milner, the Global Director of the charity organization Arms Around the Child, has expressed her profound sadness and disbelief following the passing of Ghanaian footballer, Christian Atsu.

Atsu's lifeless body was recovered from the rubble 12 days after he went missing in the earthquake's aftermath that struck Turkey on February 6.

Atsu served as a key ambassador for Arms Around the Child, and his constant care for people in need garnered him widespread praise.

Milner spoke to Citi Sports and conveyed her devastation at Atsu's loss. "He was a friend to so many people and helped so many. He was passionate, kind, and generous, and always made people feel great. We are in disbelief and can hardly fathom it. I just can’t believe it," she said.

Atsu's passing is a tragedy not only for his family and loved ones but also for the global community, which has benefitted from his philanthropic work through Arms Around the Child.
