Ghana legend George Alhassan says he does not regret not playing for Accra Hearts of Oak or Asante Kotoko despite being one of the most prolific strikers during his hey days.

The 64-year-old who played a chunk of his career for Accra Great Olympics expressed that he is not bothered over his inability to play for the two most glamorous clubs in the country.

Alhassan in his prime won the Ghana Premier League goal king on two occasion and subsequently drawn interest from both Hearts and Kotoko but declined a move since he was satisfied with the level of treatment meted out to him by the Wonder club.

The 1982 Africa Cup of Nations winner did not get the needed millage despite being one of the best strikers in the country at the time due to his inability to play for both Hearts and Kotoko.

But according to him he is not worried.

“I don’t regret not playing for Hearts and Kotoko. Olympic is a team I like a lot. Whenever I go professional I come back and play for them. I started playing for Olympics in 1974 and ended in 1992 but I don’t hold any regret not playing for Kotoko and Hearts” he said.
