Ghanaian forward Joselpho Barnes is determined to make immediate impact at Belgian Pro League club Sint-Truiden following his transfer from Latvian side FC Riga.

The 21-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the club and expressed his ambition to score goals.

Barnes revealed that the influential factor behind his decision to join Sint-Truiden was the club's coach, Thorsten Fink.

"I am grateful to sign for STVV; it's a great step in my career. Coach Fink has told me a lot about the club, which convinced me to choose this project," he said.

"I can't wait to showcase my abilities to the fans. With my speed and killer instinct in the box, I hope to score many goals this season."

During his time with FC Riga in Latvia, Barnes showcased his goal-scoring prowess and playmaking abilities. In 31 matches, he found the back of the net seven times and contributed four assists.

The young forward has already tasted success on the international stage, having been a part of the Ghana U20 squad that emerged victorious in the U20 African Cup of Nations in 2021.
