Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton has revealed that although he is a very nice guy, he will tell you his mind if he needs to.

According to him, just like almost every manager in the world, there have been instances where he had a confrontation with an opposition manager.

“Of course I have; it's impossible not to,” Chris Hughton answered when asked if he has ever been involved in a confrontation.

The Ghana national team head coach was speaking to FourFourTwo.

Chris Hughton further disclosed that through his personality, he always tries to treat other people how he will want to be treated.

"But it’s important to manage within your personality; there’s no point being something you’re not. My style is not to go looking for it, but I’m very comfortable with confrontation.

"So, yes: there are times when you fall out with someone or tell them in no uncertain terms what you think; that’s part and parcel of the game. No manager can pussyfoot around in all circumstances, though I do know that I have a reputation as a nice bloke. I like to treat people how I would want to be treated myself, unless they give you a reason not to,” Coach Chris Hughton shared.

The gaffer since becoming Ghana's head coach has won one match and drawn the other game.

It is a good start although many Ghanaians expect him to do more.
