Ghanaian winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, expressed his frustration over being sent off during Leicester City's recent 3-1 defeat to Coventry City in the Sky Bet Championship.

The 19-year-old faced a three-match suspension as a consequence of his dismissal.

Upon his return to the pitch, Issahaku made an impact by providing an assist in Leicester's commanding 5-0 victory over Stoke City.

Eager to maintain his impressive form during his loan stint from Sporting Lisbon, the talented attacker is determined to contribute significantly to his team's success.

Reflecting on his red card, Issahaku admitted, "It was so painful for me. This was the game I wanted to win, but unfortunately, I got a red card. It was so bad. I felt so disappointed."

However, he remains resolute about bouncing back stronger, emphasizing his commitment to achieving the team's objectives.

"I’ll be so much stronger and more effective now I’m back because I have to achieve what we have fought for now. We want to end this season on top of the table," he affirmed.

Having amassed eight assists and two goals in 24 league appearances in his debut season with Leicester, Issahaku opted out of contention for selection to the Black Stars squad for the 2023 AFCON campaign.
