I will not return to Accra Great Olympics - Emmanuel Agyeman Badu

Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman Badu insists he will not play for Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics.

According to him, he has spoken to the CEO of the Accra-based club about his decision to leave the club but he is yet to put it into writing.

In July 2022, 13 years after playing in the Ghana Premier League, Badu made a return to the league and signed for Nungua-based club Accra Great Olympics as a free agent.

He signed a one-year deal with the club ahead of the 2022–23 season. Badu made his debut on 17 August 2022 against Bechem United, in a 5–4 penalties loss after a goalless draw in regulation time in the 2022 GHALCA G6.

He played in all matches as Olympics went on to win the GHALCA G6 at the end of the tournament after defeating Bechem United by 2–0 in the final.

“I have spoken to the CEO about it but officially I haven’t written a letter trust me I am not going back again. The person who gave me the information which I have asked three or four of the technical team and they have also confirmed so it is not like it is a confirmation from one person it is a confirmation from three or four people," he said on Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"Now confirmation from three people I don’t think I am needed there so I am staying away to think about myself,”
