Ghanaian attacker Ibrahim Sadiq played a pivotal role in AZ Alkmaar's thrilling 3-2 comeback victory over RKC Waalwijk in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday afternoon.

Sadiq, who entered the game in the 62nd minute, replacing Dave Kwakman, scored one goal and provided an assist to help his team secure the win at the AFAS Stadion.

Before the match, AZ Alkmaar held a commanding head-to-head record against RKC Waalwijk, with 11 wins, compared to RKC Waalwijk's 4 wins and just 1 draw.

However, it was the visitors who took an early lead in the 3rd minute, thanks to a right-footed shot from David Min. The lead was extended in the 41st minute when Min struck again from distance, catching AZ Alkmaar goalkeeper Mathew Ryan off guard.

The second half saw AZ Alkmaar come out strong, and their efforts paid off in the 66th minute. Sadiq, who had just come on as a substitute, provided a pass to Sugawara, who fired a powerful shot into the net to make it 2-1. The Ghanaian attacker then scored the equalizer ten minutes later, before Greek striker Pavlidis netted the winning goal in the 77th minute.

Sadiq has made 12 appearances in the league this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
