Ghanaian international Iddrisu Baba Mohammed, unfortunately, put a ball into the back of his own net on Sunday when his Real Mallorca side lost 4-2 to Getafe in the Spanish La Liga.
The newly-promoted side went into the match at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez booming with confidence to bag all 3 points.
Things didn’t go as planned as things turned on its head, leaving them on the losing side at the end of the match which produced a 6-goal thriller.
Baba Iddrisu who started the match for Mallorca deflected a corner kick into his own net just 7 minutes into the first half.
However, the 23-year-old picked himself up and put up a commendable performance that saw his side put up a good fight.
A pulsating encounter throughout the 90 minutes ended with Getafe amassing all 3 points.
In the same match, Ghanaian defender Baba Rahman picked up an injury and has to be replaced by compatriot Lumor Agbenyenu.
