IF Elfsborg has officially confirmed the departure of Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Boateng.

The Swedish club reached an agreement with Turkish powerhouse Konyaspor, marking the next chapter in Boateng's career.

Having joined IF Elfsborg in the summer of 2021 from Hapoel Tel Aviv, the 26-year-old midfielder leaves behind a legacy of resilience and skill, etching his name into the hearts of fans clad in yellow and black.

In two and a half seasons, Boateng showcased his prowess in 52 appearances, contributing with a goal and three assists that underscored his impact on the pitch.

Manager Jimmy Thelin thanked the midfielder and wished him good luck.

"Emmanuel has been responsible for many strong efforts in the Elfsborg jersey and has been a contributor to the team's success in recent years" he said.

"However, taking into account the current competitive situation, we have come to the conclusion that the best solution is for Emmanuel to seek new challenges in his playing career. We of course wish him all the best in the future with his new team," he added.
