I'm delighted by AshantiGold's level of improvement ahead of Akonangui clash - Ricardo Da Rocha

AshantiGold head coach Ricardo Da Rocha says he is elated with the level of improvement in his team ahead of the return leg tie against Akonangui FC in the CAF Confederation Cup. 

The Miners were engaged in a friendly game against Desire Academy over the weekend where they won by two goals to nil, courtesy goals from Shafiu Mumuni and Benjamin Eshun.

Speaking after the intense friendly game, the Brazilian gaffer Da Rocha says he is satisfied with the performance of the team ahead of their Confederation Cup second leg game on Saturday.

"I've seen an improvement in my team after today's game. We're more focused on the game against Akonangui. All we want is a win for our supporters and Ghanaians," he said after the game.

AshantiGold drew 1-1 with Akonangui FC in the first leg in Ebibeyin a fortnight ago.

A win or a goalless draw with see the former Ghana Premier League Champions advance to the next stage of the competition.
