Hearts of Oak head coach, Martin Koopman praised his players on Sunday afternoon after the first win of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
In a Week 2 encounter of the new league season, the Phobians cruised to a narrow 1-0 victory over Nsoatreman FC to bag three crucial points.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Coach Martin Koopman said while he is elated with the win, he wants his team to focus on the next league game.
He called on fans to support his young team in the ongoing football season.
"it's a young team and they are gelling well. I am happy we won today after an unfortunate start in the first match. Because the players were down after the match in Tamale, we needed to up our game and respond quickly,” Coach Martin Koopman said.
This week, Hearts of Oak are preparing for a clash against Bofoakwa Tano.
