Bechem United forward Hafiz Konkoni has set sights on winning the Ghana Premier League goal king award at the end of the season.
Konkoni is currently leading the top scorers chart with 14 goals, two goals ahead of Sampson Eduku (Tamale City) and Mezack Afriyie (Berekum Chelsea) with five matches to end the league season.
In an interview, the lanky forward reiterated desire to win the goal king gong at the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
“It’s all about hard work and determination. Last season, I couldn’t perform to expectations because of injuries. So I wanted to prove a point this season that I am still Hafiz Konkoni. I put in much effort and hard work this season and has kept me going”
“Players on the top scorers chat are proven goalscorers, at any moment, they can score goals but I’m praying to win the goal king at the end of the season” he said.
His impressive performance has cushioned Bechem United to the second position on the league table with 48 points after 29 matches, just three points from catching up with league leaders Aduana Stars.
