I’m so angry about South Africa’s disrespect to Ghana after the defeat - Kurt Okraku

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku says he is outraged by the disrespect from South Africa after their national team lost to the Black Stars.

The Bafana Bafana last Sunday lost 1-0 to the Black Stars and hence missed out on advancing to the final round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Pained by the defeat, SAFA president Danny Jordaan at a press conference has claimed that the match officials of the day manipulated the game for Ghana to help the Black Stars win the game.

Having followed the issues in South Africa, Kurt Okraku says he is outraged.

According to him, this was one of the poorest South Africa teams in years and they did not deserve to qualify ahead of Ghana.

“This is the worst South African team I have seen in the last five years and they do not deserve to qualify. I am so angry about their attitude and they are so disrespectful about the quality of things we have here in Ghana.

“It is not correct for people to show so much disrespect to a powerful football nation like Ghana and this must not happen again,” Kurt Okraku told the Ghanaian media on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the issue is now before FIFA where it’s Disciplinary Committee is expected to sit on the matter on November 23.
