Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum to work with 26 players next season

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko are reflecting on their performance in the just concluded Ghana Premier League campaign.

Having endured a torrid season, the Porcupine Warriors has now turned their focus towards the 2024/25 season with a major squad overhaul.

So far, the Porcupine Warriors has ended their marriage with eighteen players with two more players expected to depart the club.

The Ghana Premier League giants finished the season in sixth position, ending the campaign without a trophy.

According to reports in the local media, coach Ogum has communicated to the Interim Management Committee (IMC) about his decision to work with only 26 players in the upcoming season.

Kotoko are expected to sign sixteen players in the ongoing transfer window to complement the remaining 10 at the club.

Captain Danlad Ibrahim and George Mfegue are among the notable departures.

Samuel Asamoah, Nanabayin Amoah, Isahaku Fiseini, Rocky Dwamena, Richmond Opoku, Julius Ofori Ziggy, Shadrack Addo, Kalo Ouattara, Nicholas Osei Bonsu, Isaac Oppong, Augustine Agyapong,  Nicholas Mensah,  John Tedeku, Sherif Mohammed (Defender), George Mfegue, Serge Eric Zeze, Danlad Ibrahim, Moise Pouaty
