Berekum Chelsea to open contract extension talks with coach Samuel Boadu

Berekum Chelsea are set to open contract extension talks with coach Samuel Boadu, according to reports in the local media.

The experienced tactician, who previously led Hearts of Oak to end their eleven-year trophy drought joined the Bibires on a short term deal before the second half of the Ghana Premier League campaign.

Boadu replaced Christopher Ennin and delivered an outstanding performance, leading the club to a third place finish in the domestic top-flight.

The former Medeama trainer’s contract with the Bibires expired at the end of the campaign.

According to reports, Chelsea are willing to extend Boadu’s stay at the club ahead of the new season after impressing in the just concluded campaign.

It is said the club has already engaged Samuel Boadu over a possible contract extension at Chelsea.

The 38-year-old tactician led Hearts of Oak to clinch a domestic double, including the Ghana Premier League title. He also won the Ghana FA Cup competition with the Phobians.

He will be aiming at the Premier League title next season should he extend his stay at Chelsea.
