Striker Kalo Ouattara is set for a return to Berekum Chelsea ahead of the new season following an unsuccessful spell at Asante Kotoko.

Ouattara joined the Porcupine Warriors in August 2023 before the start of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season but was unable to live up to expectations.

He penned a three-year deal with the club but his stay has been cut after failing to command a starting position in the team.

According to reports, Chelsea, who finished third at the end of the season are interested in resigning the forward for the upcoming season.

Ouattara was a key member of Berekum Chelsea before he departed to join Asante Kotoko last year.

After a disappointing run in the Ghana Premier League, the Ghanaian giants has now turned their focus towards the 2024/25 season with a major squad overhaul.

So far, the Porcupine Warriors has so far ended their marriage with eighteen players, with Ouattara no exception.

The Ghana Premier League giants finished the season in sixth position, ending the campaign without a trophy.
