In the MTN FA Cup Round of 32 games, Medeama travelled to the CAM Park at Anyinase on Sunday.

After the highly-anticipated derby where Medeama SC won 2-1 at the end of the 90 minutes, angry fans of Karela United attacked the team bus of the Tarkwa-based club, injuring a number of players including Eric Kwakwa who bled profusely.

Fortunate to survive, the midfielder says Karela United must be made to suffer dearly for the actions of its fans.

"GFA should give Karela Utd a stiffer punishment, I was lucky the stone didn't hit my eye. It came through the roofing of the dressing room during recess. Two stones were thrown at my direction, urine and "apia" were poured on us," he told Kumasi based Oyerepa FM.

"Football Authorities should rise to the occasion least something nasty will happen in Ghana Football. It's never true our supporters beat them when we played at TNA park in the league.

"Their supporters warned us at the beginning of the match, the threats were too much and our management did the best thing by notifying the GFA and nothing was done about it," he added.

This comes on the back of the announcement from the Ghana FA that the home grounds of Karela United, CAM Park has been banned indefinitely.

Meanwhile, the Police are conducting investigations into the attack and are said to have arrested a number of people last night who are alleged to have been involved.
