Injury woes continue for VfL Bochum as Christopher Antwi-Adjei likely to miss third consecutive game

VfL Bochum's woes continue as they brace for another game without the services of Christopher Antwi-Adjei.

Following their 1-4 defeat against RB Leipzig, Coach Thomas Letsch revealed in a press conference that the winger is unlikely to feature in the upcoming clash against SC Freiburg on March 10. This would mark Antwi-Adjei's third consecutive absence from the squad due to ongoing muscular issues.

“With Patrick Osterhage and Christopher Antwi-Adjei it will be a bit of a race. If I said now that I hope so, the medical department would come later and say 'that was far too optimistic'. That’s why I don’t expect either of them,” said Letsch about the current status of squad planning for next week.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian has been sidelined due to persistent fitness concerns, adding to Bochum's injury woes. With Antwi-Adjei's absence compounded by the suspension of compatriot Moritz-Broni Kwarteng, VfL Bochum finds themselves facing a selection dilemma ahead of the crucial encounter against Freiburg.
