Ghana’s Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, Hon. Mustapha Ussif is backing the Black Stars to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
According to him, the African football powerhouse has what it takes to conquer the world at the end of the Qatar tournament.
"As a football powerhouse of Africa, Ghana is hopeful and believing that Insha Allah, come November-December, we will be bringing the trophy back here to Ghana as the champions of the football family,” Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif said over the weekend.
On his part, Ghana FA President Kurt Okarku is confident that the Black Stars will do very well at the tournament.
"We would be very, very competitive, our singular determination is to go out of the group and once we come out of the group, the rest is open for everybody," he said.
At the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ghana has been pitted in Group H where the Black Stars will face off with Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea.
