INSIGNE JERSEY PROVES A HIT AS SSC NAPOLI CHARITY PROJECT CONTINUES

Published on: 09 October 2020

The first SSC Napoli Charity Project auction of the new season has drawn to a close, raising money for Uria, a local voluntary association working to provide support across a range of social issues.

The subject of the most recent auction was an SSC Napoli 2020/21 Home Jersey featuring a Keep Racism Out patch, worn by Lorenzo Insigne during the Parma v Napoli match.

All proceeds from the auctions have been donated to Uria, which aims to promote the values of solidarity and friendship and provide tangible support to the most vulnerable sections of our society. Uria’s initiatives include AREA 58, which involves the opening of support centres where people in need can get food (thanks to a collaboration with food banks), clothing and other basic necessities. Uria also runs LOVECHALLENGE, which sees the association go into schools to run sessions for pupils and teachers alike around the issues of bullyism, sexting and social media.

The SSC Napoli Charity Project will continue with further online auctions this season in aid of non-profits striving to have a positive impact on the community. It is hoped that the initiative will provide these organisations with the additional resources they need to improve their activities.
