Ghanaian International and Sporting Gijon midfielder, Isaac Coffie has applauded fans of the club for supporting the team throughout the season despite failing to gain promotion into the Spanish La Liga.
The lower division side were looking forward to rewarding their fans with promotion into the top-flight league for always getting behind them even through difficult times.
Having ended the season recently, however, the side failed to gain promotion and will have to try again next season. In a Twitter post by Coffie on Monday, June 10, 2019, the midfield enforcer has praised their fans for being with them throughout the course of the season.
“This season has come to an end with lots of ups and downs and yea we disappointed we couldn’t reach our objective”.
“But we are grateful and appreciative of the support of our dear fans throughout the season. Now we go on holidays and come back more energized for what is ahead of us”, Isaac Coffie shared.
The Ghanaian was phenomenal for Sporting Gijon in the just ended season where he made 15 appearances for the side. Nonetheless, he struggled for some part of the season and is hoping to do better for the Spanish club next season.
