Israeli side Ashdod have completed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Ofori from Portuguese club Famalicao.
The 23-year-old joins the club on loan for the rest of the season after successful negotiations and passing his medical.
Ashdod has the option to sign Ofori permanently at the end of the season if he impresses the technical handlers of the team.
He made 10 appearances for for Famalicao and provided one assist in this first half of the 2021/22 season.
Ofori joined the Famalicense club in 2019/20 season, having played only four matches.
Last season he moved to FC Arouca on loan for more playing time.
He played a key role for the club, featuring in 30 matches and netting one goal in the process.
He was recalled by Famalicao to join the pre-season work of the squad, at the time, guided by Ivo Vieira.
However, Ofori's return to Vila Nova de Famalicão was not a success story.
Ofori will look to hit the ground running at Ashdod.
